• The Chester Challenge 2011

The Chester Challenge is an annual cycling event held to raise money to help fund research and support the families of children affected by Dravet Syndrome – a rare form of epilepsy. Our aim is to help the many children in the UK who are suffering with this progressive neurological disorder.

Harley's StoryThe Challenge will take place on Sunday 28th August 2011, starting and finishing in the beautiful city of Chester and taking in some of the area’s most spectacular scenery.

There will be a choice of 4 routes through rural country lanes – 12.5 miles, 25 Miles, 60 miles and 80 miles (for the super fit!)

There will be refreshments available for those taking part and a free health check for your bike during registration, provided by 69 Cycles. All proceeds from the event will go to DRAVET Syndrome UK, a volunteer-based nonprofit organization, founded by parents of children with Dravet Syndrome to promote research and education for the early diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and cure of Dravet Syndrome and related genetic, febrile, sodium channel epilepsies.

The challenge will bring together those who enjoy recreational cycling to raise much needed funds for this little known, but very deserving cause.

The event is now open for entries.
